DON’T FORGET YOUR SPF

Don’t discount this Retinoid1 It works really well but it’s strong. Use it at night only and don’t forget your SPF always!!! Retinol exfoliates the skin and speeds up the exfoliating process making skin thinner and easily burned from sun exposure. Don’t stop using retinol, just use the spf 30 and you have nothing to worry about!

UP YOUR SKINCARE GAME

I was so excited when I saw this Retinoid Cream at 2% - I could only ever find it at 1% at the most. This is incredible! Finally I can up my skincare game and get a strong retinol without having to get a prescription. I love the way this feels and makes my skin shed and get brand new skin. My skin feels baby smooth - I love this cream!

MY SKIN TEXTURE IMPROVED BIG TIME

I have been using a couple of Open Formula products and some have been great and some I haven’t liked at all. However, I do like this Retinoid Cream. I have been using AHA/BHA serum every night. My night time routine includes an AHA/BHA exfoliant, the Marula Oil serum, and the Peptide Moisturizer. I started incorporating Retinoid Cream into my routine, once a week, in pea-sized amounts. When I use this retinol, I do not use my AHA/BHA exfoliant the same night. I have sensitive skin and knew to go slow. I followed instructions, avoided my eye area and I did not experience any peeling or redness. I started increasing the frequency and now I'm using this every other night, alternating it with my AHA/BHA exfoliant. My skin texture has improved bigtime. I really love my new nighttime routine!

START SLOWLY FOR BEST RESULTS

I’ve never used a product like this before so I was extremely cautious and followed the advice of some of the reviews on here. I started at 1x a week just to be safe. I didn’t want to overdo it and wake up with a red, peeling face! I’m glad I took it slow because I didn’t experience what other people did. I will say to make sure not to apply it too close to the eye area. I put this on right before bed and didn’t let it soak in enough and I think the product traveled because a couple of days later I had a dry patches under both my eyes. This product really does work and in the case of this product, less is truly more.

THIS MADE MY COMPLEXION SMOOTH

After reading the reviews, I was worried this would ruin my skin. I do have experience with Retinoids but my skin is still sensitive and I breakout pretty easy. I started using this twice weekly and my skin seems to be tolerating it pretty well. In fact, I have noticed this smoothing out my fine lines, especially on my forehead, and it's also helping to diminish rough texture. My complexion appears more even and my pores even appear smaller!

GIVE IT TIME SENSITIVE SKIN

I was excited to try this because of the great reviews but heads up if you have sensitive skin. You have to use Retinol slowly and let your skin get used to it, especially at 2%. Because Retinol is amazing once skin gets used to it. It’s great for anti-aging, exfoliation, smoothing skin, and lightening dark spots. But it’s so worth it when you get past the sensitivity.

SOME INTENSE MOMENTS WITH THIS CREAM

After reading up on all of the benefits of Retinoids, I was determined to make this product work for me. I knew from the beginning that my face could get a little drier than usual and even peel. I totally underestimated how dry and peely I would get though. It probably didn't help that I started using retinol during the peak of winter when my skin is super dry normally. I definitely had some intense moments with this cream. My skin got red, peeled a lot, and felt sore. But I also read that is normal with Retinoids. I stuck it out and 2 months later I can say that I’m a Retinoid Cream fan! My skin feels smooth, it’s glowing, my pores are smaller. If you can stick it out through the struggle it’s so worth it!

DOES A GREAT JOB

I thought I was really going to hate this product. I’m a skincare snob - meaning I only use professional products that you can get at the Dermatologist or medical spas because they are so much more potent and actually work. I constantly proved myself right anytime I would try something from Sephora - it was basically junk filled with preservatives and didn’t work but the packaging was nice - I think that’s where all the money went instead of quality ingredients. I figured since this wasn't prescription strength it wouldn’t be that strong - I was mistaken. I use this morning and night. It's helped get rid of some blemishes that I've had. It also caused me to start peeling a bit which I did not expect from this product. I feel like this product does a great job as retinol. I feel like it helps my skin just as much, maybe at a slower rate but I'm okay with that because there's so much less irritation. I do recommend this product! Just make sure you are hydrating your skin along with it! The Marula Oil from Open Formula works wonderfully!!!

IT BURNED MY SKIN

Ouch! Burn baby burn - this gave me a tingle right away and then my face flushed and itchy. No way. I’m not a stranger to retinol but this is way too much for my skin.
