This powder exfoliant transforms into a creamy foam for smooth, polished skin. Provides non-abrasive daily exfoliation to create an even, makeup-ready skin.

Glycolic acid, present at 2.5% in the formula, is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps exfoliate the skin by breaking the bond holding cells together. Glycolic acid has a smaller molecule size compared to other AHAs. So the skin can absorb it quickly for faster results.

Salicylic acid, present at 0.5% in the formula, is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that boosts the moisture in the skin and dissolving the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together. It exfoliate, and release debris, promoting healthy, natural skin turnover for glowing, brighter appearance.

Skincare concerns: Uneven texture & tone, problem skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines.

Skin feel: Polished, soft and smooth.

Skin Types:

  • Normal
  • Oily
  • Combination
  • Dry
  • Sensitive

WORKS PRETTY GOOD

It works pretty good. It’s like my daily microfoliant but a little less grainy. And I think microfoliant is enzymes and not acids but either way they are pretty comparable except this one is a lot less expensive but I don't need a membership to buy Dermalogica. Either way you get a good exfoliation whether you prefer acids or enzymes.

TOTALLY RECOMMEND FOR OILY SKIN

Like the other reviews said, highly recommend this for oily skin, especially if you have oily and sensitive skin. Most oily skin cleansers and exfoliants are really aggressive and make my skin irritated and breakout so then I have dry patches, acne, and the oil factory is working overtime. So annoying and not fixing the issues of oily skin. Sometimes I add more powder and less water to create a paste and I leave it on like a mask. I love the way I get a slight tingle. Don’t hesitate on buying this, it really works!

SUPER GENTLE

This is a nice light, gentle exfoliant that I can use everyday which I love because I do have oily skin but all of the oily skin type exfoliators at Sephora made my skin dry. I don’t have an oil slick for my face but I do need to get rid of excess oil. I highly recommend for everyday use for oily skin to help keep it oil free and not stripped.

STRONGER ISN’T BETTER

This exfoliating powder is amazing - I've been using this for 6 months and it still works! I like how light the exfoliant is. People think the stronger the exfoliant the better, but that is NOT true. You are damaging the skin when you use something too strong. I have a lot of skin issues from acne, sensitivity, redness, uneven skin tone. Since I've been using this it has made my skin soft, less red, less breakouts, and brighter! If you are hesitant on trying this please don't be, and try it!

JUST STRONG ENOUGH

So I was a little skeptical about this product because let's face it we have all seen or tried a product that promised miracle results when it comes to skin care. I wouldn’t call this a miracle product, but it works great! It was nice that you can control the strength of exfoliation you want too.

MY SKIN IS LOVING THIS

I have been using Open Formula products now for around 3 months. Absolutely love the way my skin has reacted. I’m in my early 40’s and always had oily skin. I decided to talk with their skin care expert to invest in a regime that was right for me. She recommended the Oil CLeanser daily, the Glycolic Cleanser 2 times a week -she even recommended mixing either cleanser with the Powder Exfoliant - it was awesome! I got the Peptide Eye Cream, SPF 30, and the Peptide Moisturizer for at night. I am loving my new skincare routine and I love my Open Formula products!

NOT FOR ME

This gently removes dead skin cells and doesn’t have a scent. It does tingle a little for me but that means it’s working. I prefer enzymes for exfoliating because my skin is VERY sensitive so I’m probably going to go back to that once I’m done with this. It’s ok, just not for me.

IT DOESN’T DRY OUT MY SKIN

I just used this for the first time last night after cleansing my face and this morning my skin felt smoother, looked brighter, and clear. I don’t want to say this is the best ever but I’m excited to continue to use it. I used to have acne prone skin in my early 20’s and I cleared that up with Differin gel and now in my late 20’s I still get a break out here and there and still use Differin gel. I like that I can use this with it and it doesn’t dry out my skin or make it red. It’s a simple, controllable exfoliator and I like it!

THIS IS THE BEST EXFOLIANT I’VE TRIED

I have oily skin but it’s also sensitive and I get dry patches every now and then. I was using St. Ives Apricot Scrub - ouch! It was way too irritating and harsh. Then I switched to a microdermabrasion polish and that was too drying. This is the best exfoliant I've tried so far. It's a powder that transforms into a scrub after wetting and rubbing your hands together. My face has never felt so smooth. It also doesn't dry my face out. I use it once a week because I use the Open Formula Glycolic Cleanser three times a week so that’s enough exfoliation for me. The products work great, I highly recommend!

SO AMAZING FOR THE PRICE

This is the perfect exfoliant for a control freak!!! What I mean by that is, YOU control the amount of exfoliation you want!! Sometimes I need more exfoliating action, so I add less water. If I want to tone it down, I mix it with more water in my hands. This definitely does the job. All in all, I highly recommend if you are looking for an everyday or even every other day exfoliator. Well worth looking into and AMAZING for the price!
